Cartwright Morris is a thought leader for men wanting to discover and define their life’s purpose. A Heart-Stopping Testimony of God’s Faithfulness — guest: Tyler Moon

The last thing Tyler Moon remembers from his first 10-mile race is greeting his family and kissing his wife around mile 1. At mile 8 he suffered a cardiac arrest, and that was when God took control of Tyler’s plan. You will be inspired by how God demonstrated His faithfulness through Tyler’s story.

Often, as men, we want nothing more than to be in control. Tyler’s story is a testimony of the fact that no matter what we plan, God is still sovereign. We fit into His narrative, not the other way around.

Affirming the Trauma Men Experience From Abortion in Light of the Supreme Court Decision — guest: Greg Hasek

Many are celebrating the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, and many others are very angry. Amid the tumult, there are the individuals, both men and women, who are being reminded of the trauma they experienced as a result of an abortion.

How, as men, should we be responding? Greg Hasek, a licensed counselor at Southwest Florida Christian Counseling, helps us think through not only the consequences of the Roe vs. Wade decision from a big picture perspective but also the very personal experiences of people who’ve been traumatized on both sides of the issue.  We focus mostly on the trauma men experience and how we can come alongside these guys to be an encouragement and support wherever they are in the decision process.

Incarnational Men’s Discipleship — guest: Pastor Travis Edgar

Pastor Travis Edgar gave up on getting men to attend the discipleship events at his church. Instead, he left his church to go find the men. Finding them doing things men do, Travis began to build relationships with them on their turf, in places where they spend most of their time.

In the process of searching for these men he found much more than he bargained for!

In this missional approach, Travis embodies the mission of the Free Methodist Church, which is to make known to all people everywhere God’s call to wholeness through forgiveness and holiness in Jesus Christ, and to invite into membership and to equip for ministry all who respond in faith.

Cove Run’s central theme is “Reorientation, Renewal, and Revival.” We cannot plan revival, but we can teach the foundational truths of God’s Word to ignite the fire of renewal in the individual heart, which will spark corporate revival!

“Businesstry” and Understanding God’s Hidden Agendas — guest: Leigh Gerstenberger

We men often are blind to what God is up to behind the scenes. We can be so practical and results-oriented that we miss the fact that God is active in ways we can’t perceive or measure.

Leigh Gerstenberger is always on mission but, like most men, he doesn’t always realize it. “Businestry” is his word to describe what happens when we, as Christians, engage in our normal business (whatever that might be) and all the while God has had another agenda that we’re unaware of.

A western Pennsylvania native, Leigh Gerstenberger strives to inspire intriguing ideas that help individuals and organizations exceed their career, financial, and personal potential. Prior to founding his own firm, Leigh spent his entire career in the financial services industry holding senior leadership positions at PNC Bank, Huntington Bank, Mutual of New York, and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. Leigh serves on the boards of Chris Led Communities (CLC); northeast Ohio based EMERGE Counseling Services, a 40-year old faith-based mental health organization; and SummaCare, the for-profit insurance subsidiary of the Akron, OH SummaHealth System.
